Hope & a Future

from $25.00

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

-Jeremiah 29: 11

“For years I waded in a pit of hopelessness and pain

Where the sun struggled to shine and I mostly felt rain

I knew God was with me to comfort me there

But I couldn’t shake the constant feeling of despair

God did not intend for me to live on earth without hope

I knew there was more besides just having to cope

There was much God need to teach me, to heal, and transform

And slowly I began to recognize who I am as RESTORED

In the waiting and over time did my soul slowly learn…

There is joy and there is hope if I would but discern…

That IN and AFTER and BEYOND the storm of today

There is an abundant life and Christ offers the way.

So I come to Yeshua and rest under His care

Drink from His wellspring, my thirst satisfied there.

My soul is refreshed and anew my eyes see

All the life that springs up at the base of the tree.

The water blooms life among the hard places

Pouring life forth to birth new hope spaces.

The wellspring feeds the stream that yields and bends

As it flows toward new horizons with no end.

There is a harvest of hope in the fields ahead

An invitation to abundant joy, not dread.

My future, like the sun, breaks through the clouds

I drink again from the well and praise “Yeshua” aloud!”

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”

— Isaiah 61: 1-3
